Welcome to LLCC Online

Spring 2008 Blackboard access will not be available until January 7th, 2008. Be aware that your Blackboard access will be available for the semester, but most courses will not be available until the first day of Spring 2008 semester, Monday, January 14th.

Getting Started: This site will provide you with the necessary information to begin your online course. It is recommended that you review the materials on this site and the sites linked from this page before you begin your online learning experience.

1. Test your Blackboard username and password - The username and password you use to log into Blackboard is the same as your LLCC network username and password. This is the same login information that is used to access your campus email and other network services. If you have not activated your Web Advisor account you will need to do so, prior to accessing Blackboard. Click here to activate your Web Advisor account.

2. Login your LLCC Email account - All LLCC Blackboard accounts will use LLCC email accounts It is very important that you login to and use your LLCC email account, as this is a primary method of communication with your instructor.

3. Complete the Orientation to Online Learning - The orientation is located in Blackboard under “Courses in which you are enrolled.” The orientation will cover strategies that will help you succeed in your online course. The Orientation to Online Learning will also include technical tutorials, study skills information, and additional resources related to online learning success.

It is important that you follow these steps as soon as possible to ensure a successful start to your online course. Completing these steps will also allow your instructor to contact you with specific course information.

Learning Lab: the Learning Lab provides students with a full assortment of academic-support services. The Learning Lab website has many useful handouts and tools available for your convenience.

LLCC Library: Visit the LLCC Library homepage first when you have a research assignment in your online class. Many of the libraries research databases are available online.

Online Tutoring LLCC is offering free, online tutoring in many subjects through SMARTHINKING. Tutoring in math, for example, is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. You must be an enrolled LLCC student to access this online tutoring.

With SMARTHINKING online tutoring, you can interact with a live tutor, submit your writing for any class to the Online Writing Lab, submit a question and receive a reply from a tutor.

Follow these easy steps to get started:

  • Log into Blackboard using your LLCC Web Advisor account information
  • At the Blackboard Welcome screen click on "Online Tutoring" in the Tools panel on the left side of the screen.
